New OpenStack release Liberty officially supported by Atomia
OpenStack Liberty is the 12th release of OpenStack, the powerful open source cloud software that we leverage for Atomia’s cloud hosting features. We always make sure that our software supports new OpenStack releases from day one, and this is no exception.
Atomia adds billing and hosting automation to OpenStack, letting you easily sell OpenStack-based public cloud services such as VPS and online storage. We also have a feature we’re calling Virtual Data Centers which lets you sell OpenStack tenants to your users, while Atomia automatically handles the billing for you.
OpenStack is now a mature platform but still keeps improving rapidly. Every new release is a big jump in terms of functionality and features, and the whole project has a ton of momentum. No wonder, perhaps, when you consider that almost two thousand people contributed to OpenStack Liberty (1,933 to be precise). Companies contributing to OpenStack include HP, Red Hat, Mirantis, IBM, Rackspace, Huawei, Intel, Cisco, and many more.
If you’re interested in cloud hosting software, you really should check out OpenStack if you haven’t already done so.
