OpenStack Kilo is the 11th release of OpenStack, the powerful open source cloud software that we leverage for Atomia’s cloud hosting features. Among other things, our software platform adds billing and hosting automation to OpenStack, making it possible to effectively sell OpenStack-based public cloud services such as VPS and online storage.
As of Atomia 15.3, released this March, our cloud hosting software platform includes support for PostgreSQL in addition to MySQL and MS SQL Server. In other words, our customers can now offer PostgreSQL databases to their end users.
As of Atomia 15.3, released last month, our cloud hosting software platform comes with integrated support for Halon, a secure email solution that is ideal for hosting companies and similar services. In other words, it is a great match for Atomia’s customers.
We’d like to proudly welcome Cloudnames to the Atomia family. They are a Norwegian web hosting company that starting this March offer domain names and shared hosting services to international customers, all based on the Atomia cloud hosting platform.

As you may have noticed, this week we launched a completely new website. There are still some nips, tucks and tweaks remaining, but it was time to take it live.
The new design is significantly more modern than our old one, looks great in a big window, and adapts itself nicely on smartphones and tablets. We wanted our website to be easy to access and navigate from any device.
The tenth version of OpenStack, called Juno, was released on October 16. Starting today, the Atomia cloud hosting platform officially supports Juno.
In other words, Atomia just got even better.
Starting today, Atomia customers can choose to have their OpenStack clouds fully built and managed by Canonical (via their BootStack service).
The Atomia cloud hosting platform has embraced OpenStack to enable our customers, usually hosting companies and telcos, to provide state-of-the-art cloud services. The OpenStack project is open source at its best; a well-supported, powerful, modular software platform for creating both private and public clouds. It has become a de facto industry standard.
Atomia customers normally manage their own OpenStack environment and servers. However, not everyone will have in-house OpenStack expertise, or wish to allocate the staff needed for ongoing maintenance. That is why we are very pleased to announce this partnership with Canonical. It significantly lowers the barrier of entry.
As you may recall, last month Swebby launched their hosting service in Sweden, running on Atomia software. This month we would like to congratulate our friends over at ServeTheWorld, who just took their Atomia-powered hosting service online. ServeTheWorld has been around for quite some time and is one of the leading hosting companies in Norway. We’re very happy to have them on board.
Today we are proud to announce the availability of a new release of our cloud hosting platform on our supported stable branch. Atomia 14.9 contains a large number of performance-related improvements, and adds native OpenStack support and enhanced VPS management features.
